🎓 GPA Calculation Formula

GPA is calculated using the scores of the highest 8 subjects (1 credit each), chosen from Grade 11 and Grade 12 only.

Formula:
(Sum of top 8 subject scores / 800) × 40 = GPA

Each subject is scored out of 100.

📋 GPA Restrictions and Rules

For Government Universities:
  • Only subjects from Grade 11 and Grade 12 are allowed.
  • A maximum of 3 subjects from Grade 11 is allowed.
  • At least 5 subjects must be from Grade 12.
  • Each subject must have 1 credit.
  • Subjects must be chosen from the list approved by the Supreme Council of Universities.
  • Duplicate subjects in Grade 11 and 12 are only counted once.
For Private and National Universities:
  • You may include up to 2 subjects from Grade 10, along with Grade 11 and 12 subjects.
  • A maximum of 3–4 subjects from Grade 11 is allowed.
  • Remaining subjects must be from Grade 12.
  • All subjects must be 1 credit each.

📚 Subject Requirements Based on University

For Medical and Engineering Fields:
  • You must include the following 5 core subjects:
    Chemistry – Physics – Biology – Math – English
  • The remaining 3 subjects are optional.
For Engineering Only:
  • You must include:
    Chemistry – Physics – Math – English
  • The other 4 subjects are optional.
For Theoretical and Humanities Fields:
  • The only required subject is: English.
  • All 7 remaining subjects are optional.
List of Acceptable Optional Subjects:
  • German – French – Spanish – Latin/Greek – Any European Language
  • Economics – Accounting – Business Studies – Consumer Math
  • Computer Studies / IT
  • Political Science – US Government
  • Art – Drama – Ecology – Thinking Skills
  • Environmental Science – Religious Studies – Travel & Tourism
